All of my (published) stories. Unless I forgot something.

Hi, there! Thanks for coming by! My most recent big doings are my Broken Rice serial in progress, and my newest collection, Closer Than You Think now available for preorder!

I make the covers for my ebooks and paperbacks myself, using public domain images. I don’t do that because I’m thrifty, I do it because I’m POOR POOR POOR OH GAWD SO POOR. You’ll find a gallery of recent cover images at the bottom, which mostly represent my currently-available stories.

The early covers were so, so bad. There was a hell of a long learning curve and I am QUITE AWARE that I am still not a cover design professional. Perhaps, if you buy and read lots of my stories, I’ll be able to hire one in the future.

In the meantime, read on below.

It’s not a long post, and there are plenty more stories coming so long as a meteor doesn’t hit me or something.

First, I’m proud to be one of three winners of the 2015 Amazing Stories Gernsback Writing Contest. Here it is on the Amazing Stories website, published in November 2016 — under my full name rather than my initial-centric nom de plume, but hey, nobody’s perfect. It’s always nice to be published!

My most recent free short-short, Brittany and Dustin Depart This Earth, is available as an ebook from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Google Play Books, and more!

If you want a longer read, try my Closer Than You Think collection.

Read my short political sci-fi farce The Last Trump and my time-traveling Elvis novelette Hey, Baby in serial form, right here on this site.

You can also read some of my flash fiction here in Socrates, Unafraid and Overheard Through An Apartment Wall In A City Orbiting Jupiter and README and VR.

(Overheard and README and VR have no covers, as they’ve never appeared in ebook form, but only here)

Socrates, Unafraid is written in a serious vein, while README is a little more tongue-in-cheek. Hey, BabyVR, and The Last Trump are somewhere in the middle.

There’s also my SciFi News Network series of posts, all flash fiction pieces written as news dispatches from a variety of possible futures. I add new ones on an irregular basis, but each month at least one or two new ones appear.

I also write thirteen word stories — the newest ones appear on images, as below. Click through to see the entire series. I also add new ones of these irregularly, but usually at least one or two monthly.

Go wild, read it all, compare and contrast. Enjoy!

And if you’d like to know a little more about me, go on over to my About page, or drop me an email. Or both!

One more thing — if you do like what I do, my Patreon patrons see my fiction first. They also see a lot of the posts that appear here ahead of time, or qualify for rewards like free ebook copies and even free signed trade paperbacks!

If you want to see more, read a bit about me and why I do what I do on my About page, or check out the descriptions of my short story collections on their own page!

AUTHORS – THIS is how to use your blog to advertise your books! 🙂

  2. Great covers, titles, and idea. And, LOL!, a great way to share all your titles to a wide audience while still providing a helpful and interesting post for folks! Nicely done S.A!

  3. Those are a lot of great covers and a lot of writing. I’m sure as long as you keep writing, you’ll probably get somewhere!

  4. Those are awesome covers!

    • Thanks! There was a long learning curve – I’ve retired almost all the ones I made in the first two years of self-publishing because EEEEK 😂
