I had a thought: if my cheap second-hand espresso maker can extract flavor from coffee, I bet it can do the same with other things. Above is the second infusion from a batch of dried hibiscus flower, nearly as strong as the first. The result was flavorful, just a touch of sugar or honey and the refreshing hibiscus flavor pops.
Tomorrow or next week, I may try lavender or chamomile around bedtime.
I may try other things. Don’t ask me to try it with bacon or anything equally silly. I still have some limits.
